Ideal for containing and cleaning up spills on water, these kits are specifically designed not to sink. The ECO range of hydrocarbon spill kits contain little or no dust, will recover oil and petroluem based liquids on water, will both contain and clean up spills, and all components are individually replaceable.
Absorbents in our range of spill kits are made from polypropylene. Polypropylene absorbs hydrocarbons but is water repellent (hydrophobic). This enables it to float on water for many months at a time. Polypropylene also absorbs diesel at 10 times it's own weight and oils at 20 times it's own weight.
A number of other absorbent products are available such as drum top covers, refuelling mats, bilge socks, etc.
Absorbents for chemical spill kits are made of the same material but the addition of a small quantity of surfactant (detergent) during manufacture allows the absorbent to absorb all liquids.
